They are the Champions!!

Over Christmas Break the Palfreyman's cute 3 year old son Elijah saved up his money to take Millie bowling. So of course we decided to make it a family event The Palfreyman's vs The Williams. The Palfreyman's graciously payed for us so as you can see we graciously let them win. j/k I wish that was the case :) after two games of bowling it was clear who won this rivalry :) Yet Not only are they great bowlers (is that a word :), They are wonderful people! Thanks for the fun time!

Halloween Fun....

We started a new tradition this year where each of us carved a pumpkin. The two pumpkins closest to Millie are ones we had fun carving at a company party. The small pumpkins are Millie and Tristan's. Millie asked for a Rocket so Trent carved a little Rocket in one of the small white ones. After putting the pumpkin seeds in the oven, I chose a design and started to carve..... first I tried the saw from the kit, then a steak knife, finally I went out to the garage to look for a hammer.... at this point Trent looked over (from carving his pumpkin with a butter knife) smiling and came to the rescue. He tried every thing too and finally headed to the garage for the hammer. Who knew pumpkins shells could be like rocks? :)

Here's our cute little Buzz. He only went trick or treating to 4 houses because he was so busy eating his candy. So Cute!

Minnie and Sleeping Beauty held hands going to every house. :)

Here is the adorable trick or treating group. It was fun to see how much everyone had grown up this year.

Millie insisted on being Minnie Mouse this year, One of the first things she said when she put on her costume was "I can laugh like Minnie" She then held both hands to her mouth and out came the cutest most dainty laugh.

Disney on Ice.....

I found my camera cord! So now I can start posting again. Yesterday we went to Disney on Ice which was so much fun.

Here are how high up our tickets were, Millie asked when we got to our seats "When are we going to go down there to watch the show?" We made it through the show with out any nose bleeds.:)

They ended the show with Peter Pan and Wendy. My favorite!

Here we are in front of the American Airlines Center.

On our way out Millie was sad she didn't get a Mickey snow cone because she loves Mickey. We were trying to explain to her that Minnie was better because she was a girl like her. Millie paused and said " Oh..... So I'm Minnie. Daddy's Mickey. And Mommy's....(long pause).... Mommy's Goofy."
Gotta love of all the princesses at Disney...... Goofy.:-)

Holiday Highlights

T's Birthday always kicks off our Holidays! What a great way to start the holiday season. He truly is a wonderful father and husband. It was especially fun this year to have Nana and Papa W here to helps us celebrate.

In our family we have birthday pie because M is allergic to some ingredients in cake. This was our first time putting candles in pie and we learned you have to let it cool more than a half hour. I lit the candle to sing happy birthday but little did I know the wick was burning at both ends. We pulled out the candles to reveal a puddle of wax. What to do? I dug 4 beautiful holes :) into each pie......... no more wax.

Only a few days after T's birthday is our next holiday our anniversary. I can't believe it's already been five years. T surprised me with two dozen roses and a weekend getaway to Dallas. What a Husband! How I love him and am so grateful for the five wonderful years we've journeyed together! Thank you so much Mom and Dad W. for watching the kids!! I don't even think the kids missed us they had so much fun!

This Year we stayed home for Christmas and started some fun new traditions of our own! Christmas eve we read the Nativity story from Luke and the kids dressed up to play the parts. M got really into it and brought all her stuffed animals down to be in the play. I had to laugh at "Elmo the sheep".

After we read the Christmas story we Watched Polar Express and drank Apple cider. M felt so big being up after Tristan went to bed.

Christmas morning M wouldn't come down the stairs because she was so scared that Santa was still down there. She quickly warmed up to the idea of Santa once she saw the presents.

The day after Christmas we went to Grapevine, which claims to be the Capital of Christmas in Texas. I have to admit it's a pretty enchanting small town. They have this light show that plays every 30 minutes at the town square and lots of fun small town shops decked out in old fashion Christmas attire. The local theater read showings for Seven Brides and Seven Brothers. I love these fun blast from the past places!

New Years Eve we went to the F.W. Zoo.. That night we had brought in the new year with a fun couple who have kids the same age as ours .

Our Holidays wrap up with M Birthday. I can't believe M is already 3! She was so excited to have Birthday "pie" and to blow out her candles! It was so fun to have so many family members sing with us over webcam.

M loves little Einstiens in particularly the one about birthday balloons. When M went to bed we blew up some balloons and placed them at the end of the stairs and put up pink streamers around the house. Millie gleed with joy when she saw the balloons. She didn't even miss the fact that we waited until after church to open presents.

Thanksgiving....

Thanksgiving officially is my new favorite Holiday. Maybe the Turkey was just extra good this year :), or Maybe it's just because I'm more grateful than ever before. I truly feel so grateful for all the little joys of life. Here were some of our highlights this weekend:

T and I painted our bedroom, I taped/he painted/ I cheered him on while he painted :)
Ate at T's cousin's house. They had an oriental flavored turkey and it was delicious. I'm so grateful for all the love T's family and extended family share with us.
T graciously watched the food network with me. ( i love the show Iron Chef And Charm City Cakes)
Went Black Friday Shopping and only bought two items under 20 dollars pretty amazing! (M running around the store might have had something to do with that :)
Enjoyed visting with family and friends.
Made pumpkin pies and ate them both in less than 24 hours.
T painted M's room and I took the Nursing Jurisprudence Test and Passed!
Put up our Christmas tree and danced with M and little T to Christmas music.

It was such a wonderful weekend, I think mostly it just reminded me how abundantly blessed we have been. I am so humbled by the Lord's love.

Halloween and Fall Fun.....

We are loving Texas!! Here are some fun friends we met here. It was so neat to see so many families out Halloween night. Many pulled up lawn chairs and sat at the end of their driveway handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I guess the weather being 70 degrees really helped. It really is so neat to live in such a family oriented place.

M loved playing in the leaves in front of our house. We raked half of them up on thursday and then our neighbor came over with his leave blower and did the rest of them in 10 minutes. It's great to have nice neighbors.

T loves to smile and it melts us every time he does!
