Rolls and Taco Soup......

530 am rolled around and our usual alarm clock went off, our neighbor's motor cycle. It's perfect because T and I set a new goal on Sunday that we would wake up around this time anyway and study scriptures to start our day. It truly has made a noticeable difference for good in our week...... but it's definitely not easy to get up. :) So our neighbor's motor cycle went off and T checked his cell phone for our alarm, Yes, 15 more minutes until we need to get up we both smile and sighed with relief (I know 15minutes you might as well get up but more sleep is more sleep :).... Until we heard the bark from the other room......nope not a dog.....:) our daughter has that dreaded croupy cough! I could tell it was going to be one of those lonely sick days at home. What to do with a day like this.....of course what else: make comfort food :) So we kissed dad goodbye and started our comfort food quest. Menu : Rolls and Taco Soup. Who knew it could be so much fun to make rolls (you can tell I don't make them often), M insisted on helping me measure everything and although I watched the germs spread with each cough :) It was truly a blast. She is a great helper and is at such a fun age.

Our House....

Here it is, our first home and we love it! It has definitely been a fixer upper but we got a great deal on it. We have had to completely repaint the entire house which was a chalky white/pink color. Our living room has a fun accent wall that is chocolate and the rest of the room is called tobacco road which is a warm neutral. Our dining room is a fine wine (deep red) color and our front room is also tobacco road. It's 2 and half bath and 3 bedrooms. Upstairs we have two full baths and 3 bedrooms. The half bath is down stairs. We closed on September 12th and it happened so fast that I didn't even get the water turned on in our name in time. So we moved in and started camping :) Our first night at three am our ceiling fan light just randomly turned on. Talk about adrenaline rush !! We finally chalked it up to random electrical issues and went back to sleep. T had a business trip the next weekend so it was just me and the kids. 3am rolled around the first night he was gone, I had finally gotten to sleep, when all of a sudden the ceiling fan and light randomly turned on high at the same time...............ahhhhhhhhhh....... Needless to say we got a new ceiling fan :)
All in all the house is coming along and I'll have to post the before and after pictures so you can see the transformation. The fun part about fixing up a house is that you get to watch it become your own!

Changes......

Changes is a great title for our past 7 weeks. It's hard to begin there have been so many! So I'll start with my favorite on April 11 we were blessed with a healthy and huge sweet baby boy! He came into the world via C-section weighing in at 9lbs 120z. Thanks to all the prayers, a C-section was exactly what I needed, the doctor even leaned over the curtain during the surgery and proclaimed " You made the absolute right decision!" What a wonderful thing to hear after all my uneasiness about my decision.  C-sections are still NO FUN!! But hey all went well. Just a few weeks later we had both sets of parents in town for T's graduation and T's blessing. Trent graduated from Krannert Business School at Purdue! We can't believe how fast time has gone in Indiana. Two years just and came and went before we knew it.  After graduation we headed to Utah for some quality time with the family this summer. Trent doesn't start his job in Dallas until September so we decided to move in with the grandparents in Provo and often Cedar. I started working at my old job as a nurse. I was so excited to work because I absolutely love the nursing staff!!  With a newborn though and Trent trying to do research I soon realized to my dismay it wasn't the right timing to go back. I'm so grateful for a wonderful and understanding nurse manger! Right now we are loving being with family and soaking up our time with Trent before he becomes a consultant in the Fall.

No Baby Yet...

This week we have been preparing for our little baby boy to come! I was going to be induced on April 8th and have been announcing that date to everyone ever since we made the appt :) Unfortunately T got really sick this weekend with bronchitis and tonsilitis (talk about crazy timing :) so we canceled on Tuesday our induction. We have been praying to know what to do since our last delivery was C-section. Our little boy seems to be thriving in the womb and we are starting to think we have a little foot ball player on our hands (he's got a good kick like his dad too :) since I'm measuring well over due. Another C-section is in the works for us to our dismay but we are so grateful we have this option! We have felt the peace that comes through pray and knowing the Lord is in charge and watching over us. We are so grateful for so much support from family and friends. Grandma Norton comes today and Friday we will have a baby boy addition!!! We are so excited!!
